Rob Nairn – Mindfulness Association UK Founder
Our training has been developed by Rob Nairn – one of the pioneers in delivering meditation training in a way that is accessible to the Western mind. Rob was asked to teach meditation by the Dalai Lama. His experience of over forty years of teaching meditation to Westerners has enabled him to develop a unique secular training in Mindfulness, which takes us on a step by step journey into a deepening experience of being present and accepting ourselves as we are.
Anna Zubrzycki – Mindfulness Association Poland – Founder, Director and Lead Tutor
Actress, teaches acting and voice emission in Poland and abroad. In Poland, she attended for many years as an actress the Centre for Theatre Practices in Gardzienice (1978 -1992), she was also the co-founder and till 2014 actress at the Song of the Goat Theatre in Wroclaw. As a professor of voice and acting, she teaches classes and perfomances at numerous theater festivals, as well as many educational institutions in Asia and Europe. In her work she encourages participants – actors, artists, performers – for the expression of body and voice. Practicing Mindfulness allows them to be authentic and courageous to build their creations on stage. She is practicing mindfulness meditation since 1993. Currently, graduate Mindfulness at the University of Aberdeen. On behalf of Mindfulness Association (UK) coordinates the organization of certified Mindfulness courses in Poland and she teaches mindfulness. MBLC and CBLC teacher.
Angie Ball – Lead Tutor
Angie has studied and received teachings from several highly respected Tibetan Buddhist teachers for over 30 years, during which time she also studied and participated in an extensive East- West therapy training, entitled Tara Rokpa Therapy. This training was initially implemented by Tulku Akong Rimpoche, a Tibetan Buddhist Lama, based at Kagyu Samye Ling Tibetan Centre in Scotland U.K. Angie was involved in this therapy from its inception during 1983, participating in the therapeutic process and later training as a Tara Rokpa Therapist, running groups and workshops.She holds a (BA Hons.) Arts Degree and is trained in both Art’s Development as well as health and body work, and was employed by the local council authority to develop a regional arts and health programme throughout Cumbria in the UK. She also holds a certificate in the study of Transpersonal Psychology and Neuro Linguistic Programming and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. Her Buddhist practices have been greatly under-pinned by the essential ground practice of Shine or Mindfulness, and she later trained with professor, tutor and writer, Rob Nairn, in Mindfulness and then undertook a Masters (MSc) study in Mindfulness with Aberdeen University. She has been teaching and running courses in Mindfulness and Compassion for the past 10 years both for the local government authority as well as in the private sector both in the U.K and throughout Europe. She is a lead tutor and mentor/supervisor for the Mindfulness Association.
Annick Nevejan – Lead Tutor
Originally trained as a Dutch performing artist and contemplative psychologist, is independent professional trainer and counsellor. She works with individuals in private sessions and with groups in larger organizational settings (leadership development and team-coaching) with her own company Bureau Nevejan since 2001. She regularly offers mindfulness and compassion courses in Amsterdam. In her work she integrates her performing arts background with contemplative psychology, systems oriented training and twenty-five years of intensive study and practice in Tibetan Buddhism. Since 2010 she is tutoring on the University of Aberdeen’s Mindfulness Studies Programme (MSc) and has completed this study as well. She is a lead tutor and supervisor for the Mindfulness Association in the UK and Europe.
Krystyna Boroń-Krupińska – Assistant Tutor
Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Promotion and Techniques of Relaxation in the Department of Educational Humanities of the Academy of Physical Education in Wrocław. Participated in scientific conferences and training courses in the field of body work and personal development (eg Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais Method, Body Mind Centering, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). Author and co-author of scientific papers on the application of various methods integrating mind and body in shaping psychophysical well-being. Interested in issues related to body awareness, holistic approach in therapy and rehabilitation, prevention of psychosomatic diseases. Certified MBLC and CBLC teacher. Improving skills during CPD-trainings. Participated as assistant tutor in different pathway trainings in MA. Trained in supervision for mindfulness teachers.
Ewa Sanko Orłowska – Assistant Tutor
Certified MBLC and MBSR teacher (certificate from Institute for Mindfulness Based Approaches, Germany). Runs and co-runs range of mindfulness courses in MA and CPD (professional development). Supervisor in Mindfulness Association Polska (certificate from Mindfulness Association, GB). Teaches mindfulness in schools based on British program Mindfulness in Schools Project. Focuses on mindfulness training and workshops in communication, conflict transformation and mediation. She’s a certified Nonviolent Communication trainer, lectures NVC for postgraduate students at the Collegium Civitas. Accomplished meditator with 30 years’ experience. Graduated from Warsaw University, in the field of German studies. She is an author of teaching materials and improvement programs for teachers in the field of neurodidactics among others. Worked as a teacher in integrated preschool, translator, school director, coach and coordinator of teaching programs in Center for Education Development. Mother of two wonderful adult sons; lives in a big city (Warsaw), although would prefer to live in rural Beskid Niski mountains.
Monika Kużelewska Turczynowicz – Assistant Tutor
Certified MBLC teacher. Co-runs courses at the Mindfulness Association Poland. In 2017, she began training MBCT (Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy) certified by the Oxford Mindfulness Center at the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Oxford, dedicated to the prevention of depression. She started her own practice 8 years ago and has been running courses and trainings for 2 years. Since 2017, she is the President of the “Lepiej Żyć Lepiej” (Better Live Better) Foundation whose aim is to develop and spread knowledge about mindfulness. In 2017, she founded the mindfulness-warszawa.pl organization in order to effectively support others in improving the quality and comfort of life. She is a pianist by education, graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, branch in Bialystok. She is also a graduate in clinical psychology and post-graduate studies „Mindfulness and Compassion. Research and psychotherapy” at the SWPS University in Warsaw. In January 2019, she launched a year-long project on Facebook – „Niepoważni uWażni” (Playful Mindfulness), to spread the informal practice of the mindfulness to as many people as possible. At the moment the group has more than half a thousand followers.
Weronika Żytko – Administrator
Student of Industrial Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw. Interested in gaining experience in educational and social projects management, over a year organizes and administrates courses in Poland certified by Mindfulness Association. As a future designer sees great value and impact of the practice of mindfulness in artistic activities and projects.
