This secular and experiential course developed by the Mindfulness Association aims to take you on an in-depth and personal journey of Compassion with a view to integrating it into everyday life. The course content draws on the wisdom resources of evolutionary psychology, neuroscience and Mahayana Buddhism together with the rich interaction of these traditions.
The course runs for 9 weeks and also includes a day of practice. It is suitable for anyone who has taken a mindfulness course; MBLC, MBSR or any other comprehensive mindfulness training.
The weekly themes are:

Week 1 – Why practice Compassion?…….Because we suffer
Week 2 – The Compassionate Mess
Week 3 – It’s not our fault: An evolutionary perspective
Week 4 – Creating conditions for Safeness
Week 5 – Befriending the self-critic
Week 6 – Finding the Compassionate friend within Day of Practice

Follow Up – Compassion in action
